In other news, we held our first Zoom bridge social tonight
(Tuesday) based on the article from this month's ACBL Bulletin (Page
16).
We had six tables with a huge range of bridge experience in the
players.
It was a technical challenge for a lot of our players! It was my
first experience using breakout rooms in Zoom. We had some players
who were not only new to Zoom but new to BBO as well. Once I got the
rhythm of moving E/W pairs to the next higher table-slash-breakout-
room, it went fairly smoothly.
Like everything, it gets better with practice.
I think I'll try it again next Tuesday evening, but ultimately there
should be two games: an Open Pairs and perhaps a non-Life Master, or
0-100 game. If you have thoughts on when you'd like to play and with
whom, in the context of a Zoom bridge social, let me know.
Monday starts our second Silver Linings week! I'm planning to add a
couple of limited games next week to give the non-Life Masters a
chance to pick up the silver they might need. The rest of our
schedule will stay the same.
