I'm not begging, but if you'd like to play bridge tomorrow at 11:00,
I'd love to hear from you. :) I'll post another note tomorrow
morning with who's planning to play. I'm always looking for singles
as well! If I can't find you a partner, it's always great to have
you help fill a half table when there is one.
Need volunteers for this evening's "Introduction to Bridge"
class, see below. :)
I'm still in Florida, and expect to be away from home for
roughly another three weeks. My sister is getting a break, and
she'll return to Florida on Labor Day weekend. I'll start my trek
back shortly after that.
Meanwhile I've been getting great help from Dave White, Paula
Oliveras, and Bob McBroom with the directing. My mobile "online
bridge teacher" studio has worked out fine, and I've managed to meet
all of my classes. I have plans for more, but I won't make any more
commitments until I'm back home in California.
Tonight for the first time I'm offering lesson one of Bridge
Basics I - Introduction through PCC Extension. We opened the
class up to twenty students, and it's a sellout. I have a couple of
students who are doubling up, and one who can't make the first
class, so I have a few empty seats that I'd love to fill with
flesh-and-blood bridge players. (The Shark Bridge robots are fine,
but, hey.)
If you're interested in kibitzing and following suit with brand new
players, or just curious to see how the hell I'm going to do
this, drop me a note and I'll send you the connection
information. I'll ask you to play quietly unless you're in a
breakout room.
